Mar 22,  · I don't think there is any need for you to take the clotrimazole. In most cases diflucan will be more than sufficient to treat a vaginal yeast infection. Jul 19,  · Yeast Infection that won't go away! In the future, to prevent yeast infections try to avoid too much sugar and yeast in your diet, avoid wearing too tight pants, avoid scented tampons and antibiotic soaps, eat probiotic yogurt on a somewhat regular basis and always wear cotton underwear. Good .

So these are the foods to avoid: Coffee, soda, alcohol, tea, vinegar, salad dressings, sugar, all fruit including tomatoes, peppers, fried foods, processed foods, artificial foods, molassas, honey, whey dairy except butter. Finally, water is huge. Feel free to ask questions. Abcd over a year ago Hi - I too have the same problem. While you are waiting for a professional to give you a more permanent solution I suggest using cooling hydrocortisone cream to soothe the burning and itching.

a yeast infection that doesnt go away 1 hour

Guest over a year ago In reply to anonymous on - click to read. I've experienced the exact same thing yeast and utis for over 3 months, my dr. Gave me diflucan which stops the discharge but the discomfort on the doesnf never went away.

I found that taking diflucan once a week for a month didnt cured the yeast only superseded it. It finally got better by diet and diet only, I fasted all day up to 3pm only water then i ate fish or chicken free of antibiotics some spinach, avocado, and no bread of aNY kind wheat, full grain or white no pasta, basically just protein and a non starchy veggie once or twice a day.

No milk product at all, and drank more water and only water no soda or juice. This helped cure me! It took a long time but be patient and slowly you will feel relief. Stick to the diet and dont eat anything else for as long as you can. I did it for a month infetcion this is what fully cured me.

Diet and only diet can bring your body back to balance from my experience. Seems extreme but this worked for me. Not sure if this will help but it's what I did. If you think this is to dangerous try going to a nutritionist for further advice. I'm just stating what worked for me.

Try this with caution or under a dr. I would read the yeast connection - fabulous book.

It has totally saved me I have a yeast infection I took monastad 1 it got worse and then I went to the doctors and he prescribed diflucent yeasr I'm still having a itch down their and my cycle just came on I really don't know what else to do. Guest over a year ago I can't believe nobody else has mentioned this but your boyfriend could be passing it back to you during unprotected sex.

He most likely needs a treatment as well even if he doesmt appear to have any symptoms. I feel like I could have written this post.

I suffered the same infectikn 5years and no Drs or medication could help me. I decided to try a plant based diet that was low in fat.

I really hope you give it a try because I know how much it sucks to not have even the professionals be able to help you. Now it is the next day and my yeast infection has not gone away, infact it feels worse.

HELP!!! yeast infection that won't go away?

I have had to miss work for two days because I am in so much pain and discomfort. My vagina is very swollen awah was even bleeding a little yesterday. I am worried that the diflucan will not work for me. I got the difclucan from my roomate I was desperate for a relief and I had taken it before for yeast infections many times.

After the diflucan didnt work I went to visit my doctor. My doctor also prescribed me three days of clotrimazole tubes. I didn't tell her I had already started taking the diflucan. Should I use that as well as continuing to take the diflucan? I have two more mg diflucan pills I can take. Please help!!

Sep 20,  · Untreated yeast infection. Untreated yeast infection is a very common problem that can lead to serious health complications. Many people that skip the yeast infection treatment, hoping that the yeast infection will go away on its own, end up with a long term yeast infection damage as a result of having untreated yeast infection for years. Nov 13,  · What happens if my yeast infection doesn't go away? If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home.

I am desperate and in so much pain. Thank you. It's a shame you did not tell the doctor exactly what you had taken. You would have had better treatment if you had. At least though you have received an accurate yeast infection diagnosis. I don't think there is any need for you to take the clotrimazole.

    1. Carline Colman:

At the first sign of a vaginal itch, it's easy to assume you've been plagued with a yeast infection. However, all that itching, burning, and discharge could actually be something else, so it's important to look out for any signs that your yeast infection is not actually a yeast infection after all.

I stopped taking the antibiotics and took mg of Difclucan. The next day, I took another mg of difclucan.
