Bleb or thrush signs
Signs infections, poor latching and breastfeeding techniques, pumping friction, teething and blocked ducts can all leave your bleb area with bruises, redness and even blisters. A milk blister can be painful and obstruct breastfeeding. It usually appears when a small piece of skin on the areola grows over a pore or duct sifns causes your milk to back up and blister. The blister is usually painful white, clear or thrush and appears as a dot on your nipple. The bleb only seems to cover one nipple opening or pore.

Long story short - my LO is now 6 months old and I am really enjoying breastfeeding, but it's also been a major struggle to get to this point - major oversupply, constant plugged ducts, recurrent mastitis, nursing strike, and thrush all in the first months joy!
Lately I've thrush wondering if I still have thrush, although I'm not having the extreme bleb type of pain as I had the first time around.

We seem to have finally worked through most of our issues with oversupply, but I am STILL getting plugged ducts only different than they used to be, not so much associated with engorgement or changing nursing patterns. Lately when I've gotten a plug it's almost always associated with a little while dot on my nipple - like dried milk or something obstructing the nipple pore.
When I am finally able to work the dot out through creative use of tweezers and frequent nursing, milk literally pours out and the plug immediately is gone.
If so, how did your doctor actually diagnose this? I have been using APNO and rinsing my nipples after every feeding, but am thrush this is further into the ducts if it is in fact thrush.

How to Deal With Blocked Nipple Pores
I had to pour it all out but luckily I have a nice stock pile. I'm starting to wonder if my thrush will ever go away.
I'm thinking that I'm also an thrush producer-I make about 45 oz daily. The APNO seems to help with those. Kellymom says that signs blisters bleb commonly associated with thrush. But it doesn't have much information about how long thrush can last?? I've read that probiotics can help by putting good bacteria in your system and I've read that gentian violet can help with thrush.
Thanks so much in advance for your thoughts! I only have experience with milk thrush. I soaked a cotton pad bleb olive oil, and put it on the nipple. I'd suggest going to see a lactation consultant or a doctor just signs rule out thrush or mastitis. The shooting pains definitely indicate thrush but you have a lot going on there for sure.
Good luck. Thhrush kind of fabric touching my nipple would hurt and it was shooting pain too. I could barely handle sigs pain of my kid latching to breastfeed.

My nipples we red and irritated. But I guess I was super swollen too. Orr could have thrush in just one boob and the baby show no signs. But that being said, I am having the same thing with the nipple being sore and touching fabric. When I get a clogged duct, I put an ice pack on it and take IB profin. Normally takes about 24hrs to clear. Those are a pain. Definitely get checked out if you are worried. It is super contagious! od
Get a shot glass, fill it with fairly hot water and salt. Place it over your nipple to form a seal and swish it around a bit. You can definitely have thrush and baby not show signs. It's good you're taking sunflower og. Do you have a hakaa? You can do warm water and Epsom salt similar to the shot glass suggestion to try and pull any block out. Massage towards your nipple but start close to the nipple to clear the "traffic jam".
